I DON'T MEAN TO...

A blank white screen stares at me,

Silhoutted against the mirth of darkness,

But the red signals in the distance,

The lively apartment complexes and the busy streetlights,

Appear even merrier,

So does the cacophony accompanying the radio station,

Life, I see, is being built,

The screen is no longer empty,

Darkness has crept in,

And all mankind is happy.

ok, so many questions. Is the white screen the computer? If so, what is the "mirth of darkness"? The black out/ lack of electricity? and why do u mention the red lights and a radio station?

Monu's the name said...

no the white screen's my phone. The mirth of darkness coz being ignorant is bliss, being in the dark that wat you see is not wat is, that they're all constructs, narratives built up to provide meaning to wat really is nothin.you're happy if you think they're all real.but you can take it literally to mean the dark of the night.
when i'm typing it out on my screen i'm adding to the narrative--the radio station and the lights are wat i see in the horizon--they're centres of activity where newer narratives are being lapped up and older ones reinforced.
